Image Research and Selection
My role as a photo editor is to tell a story effectively, bring a subject to life with compelling imagery and to ensure the most awe-inspiring content is used.
Catalog
When selecting images for catalog, I considered the content shown on previous spreads, ensuring the location and feel of the images were varied throughout, while keeping with branding guidelines. For collage layouts, it was important for the images to work well together in both color and composition.
Editorial Magazine
Research for editorial content begins with understanding the content. Images selected show a variety of subjects, from scenery to people to details. I collaborated with the designer to provide images that worked with the look and feel of the piece.
Web & Social Media
Social media images need to grab the viewers attention as they scroll. It is important they are colorful and dynamic as well as work within the constraints of the format.
